Egypt’s Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) affirmed on Sunday that Egypt remains far removed from any direct impact resulting from recent regional developments.
The authority reassured citizens that no neighboring countries to Iran have reported any changes or increases in their radiation levels.
In a statement, the ENRRA highlighted that it is continuously monitoring developments related to the status of nuclear facilities in the regional vicinity, adapting to unfolding events.
This is achieved through ongoing review of reports issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency concerning these facilities, as well as constant coordination with relevant national entities.
Furthermore, the ENRRA monitors the background radiation through its own nationwide radiological monitoring, early warning, and reporting system, which utilizes the latest radiation detection devices deployed across the country.
